What will change for our customers and all those who would like to become customers in the future?<\/p>\n
Many of our customers plan to upgrade an existing Dynamics NAV or Business Central solution to a new release, such as Business Central 2024 Release Wave 1 (version 24) or later, in 2025. Some customers are moving to the Business Central Cloud version, and others continue to prefer the on-premise versions. Some customers have just introduced a newer version of their BC industry solutions on an older release level (e.g. BC 14) and plan to continue it for a few more years.<\/p>\n

Wir haben bisher in unserem Analyse-Tool V8 Search XE die M\u00f6glichkeit geboten, die gesamte NAV\/Business-Central-Versionspalette von NAV 2013 bis Business Central 2024 Release Wave 1 (Version 24) auf Probleme wie Deadlocks und Tabellensperren zu pr\u00fcfen. Every piece of software has a life cycle. This begins with the software release and ends with the End of Life (EOL), when the software is no longer supported.<\/p>\n
Der EoS\/EoL von V8 Search XE \u201eOn-premises\u201c Version ist f\u00fcr den 31. Dezember 2025 geplant. Dabei beenden wir am 01. Januar 2025 die Distribution der V8 Search XE \u201eOn-premises\u201c Software, indem wir die Option f\u00fcr Neuinstallationen aus allen Dynamicsproject.com-Websites\/Portalen entfernen. Kunden k\u00f6nnen die V8 Search XE \u201eOn-premises\u201c Version bis zum EOL-Datum bzw. Ablauf der g\u00fcltigen Lizenz weiter nutzen. Jede Nutzung nach diesem Datum ist nicht mehr m\u00f6glich, da das Produkt in dieser Form nicht mehr erh\u00e4ltlich ist. V8 Search XE wird zuk\u00fcnftig nur noch im Rahmen des V8 Care \u2013 komplettes Leistungspaket (Dienstleistungsprojekt) zur Verf\u00fcgung gestellt. Sollte V8 Care keine Option f\u00fcr Sie sein, empfehlen wir Ihnen, sich rechtzeitig \u00fcber ein alternatives Softwareprodukt zu informieren.<\/p>\n
A successor product to V8 Search XE is planned for the second quarter of 2025. The new software will be released with the name \"V8 Five\". V8 Five is the fifth generation of our performance analysis software for Business Central and SQL Server.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

We continue to support all customers on the subject of performance management who have not yet carried out \/ planned the changeover \/ upgrade to e.g. Business Central 2024 Release Wave 1 (Version 24).<\/p>\n
The basic module of V8 Five is available in two different extension modules: <\/p>\n
The \u201cCAL\u201d module continues to support all solutions based on C\/AL code. However, only version 14 (Business Central Spring 2019), the latest release, is supported with Roletailored Client. If you are using a Business Central \/ NAV version 13 or earlier, you have the option of using a customized configuration (custom module) from V8 Five. However, this module is associated with considerably higher costs, as the software is specially adapted to the customer's version.<\/p>\n
The \u201cAL\u201d module supports Business Central from 2023 Release Wave 1 (Version 22) and later release waves. In the AL module, the extended Business Central telemetry data with the XEvents architecture (Extended Events) of SQL Server will in future provide even more detailed information on any performance problems that have their cause in the AL code. The Telemetry AL module simplifies the monitoring of deadlocks, table locks and queries with a long duration. Many new workflows have been developed in V8 Five to simplify analysis and are presented graphically for better understanding.<\/p>\n
