Every software has a life cycle. This begins with the software release and ends with the End of Life (EOL), when this software is no longer supported. With regard to the End of Life, you can then make the decision on the respective cut-off date whether you want to upgrade or make other changes.

Activity
The Activity period starts with the general availability of a major release. During the Activity period, new features and capabilities (minor releases) are continuously added to the product and bugs are fixed. The activity period for a Dynamicsproject.com V8 product typically covers 2 - 3 years.
Maturity
No new features will be added during the product's maturity phase. However, Dynamicsproject.com will continue to offer routine service packages and hotfixes for V8 products. We will begin phasing out new license sales of the product. The duration of the maturity phase is usually 1 year.
End of Sales
The end-of-sales milestone means that the product is no longer available for sale to new customers/partners.
Beginning of Extended Sales
The End of Sales milestone marks the beginning of the Extended Sales period (Beginning of Extended Sales), during which new product licenses are available only to existing customers.
Retirement
End of Maintenance
The End of Maintenance phase marks the beginning of the Retirement phase of the product. From this milestone on, the product will no longer be maintained through routine service packages and hotfixes. Product updates will be released only in special cases and at Dynamicsproject.com's sole discretion.
End of Support
At the end of the Retirement phase, the standard support of V8 products expires. Customers who wish to extend their support contracts can sign up for extended support, but this usually involves increased costs.
Beginning of Extended Support
With the Retirement Phase, the product enters the Extended Support Phase. Dynamicsproject.com continues to provide support services for at least one year, usually at an increased price.
Post Retirement
End of Extended Sales
No new licenses will be sold after the End of Extended Sales milestone, this also applies to existing customers.
End of Extended Support
The End of Extended Support milestone marks the end of the product's life. From this point on, Dynamicsproject.com will no longer provide support services for this product.

*From the Retirement phase onwards, only spot-on hotfixes will be released. The content of such hotfixes will be based on Dynamicsproject.com's sole discretion after evaluating the scope and severity of each reported issue.
